In Cape Town, we resided at the Rockhaven hotel, located pretty
much out of town at Bloubergstrand. From this beach, all those postcard
pictures of Cape Town's landmark, Table Mountain, are taken. Left of
Table Mountain you can see 669 m high Lions Head. The top of
Table Mountain can be reached conveniently by using the new Table
Mountain Rotair cable railway which was finished in 1997. This miracle
of technology has a round passenger cabin which rotates during the trip
so everybody can have a look into every direction. A Return Ticket was
priced 55 Rand in 1997. |
